Cuote or Tinybeans?
Tinybeans is a private family photo album. Cuote keeps what your kids say. Different jobs, and plenty of families use both.
What Tinybeans is
Tinybeans is a private photo and video journal for families. Parents post photos with captions, and grandparents and other followers see them in a feed and by email. It has a free plan with a monthly upload limit, and a paid plan, Tinybeans+, for unlimited uploads and more storage. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web.
What Cuote is
Cuote is an iPhone app for the things your kids say. Type a saying in a few seconds and it becomes a poster signed with their name and age. Next to it you can keep a recording of their voice, their scanned drawings, and letters you write them for when they’re grown. Your partner and grandparents can join, and each year becomes a book. The first 10 sayings are free; Pro keeps everything else, for the whole family.
| Topic | Cuote | Tinybeans |
|---|---|---|
| Made for | The things your kids say, plus their drawings, voice and letters to them. | Photos and videos of your kids, shared with family. |
| Saving a moment | Type the words in a few seconds. They become a poster signed with the child’s name and age. | Post a photo or video with a caption. |
| Kids’ drawings | A scanner that flattens the page and files it under the right kid. | Upload a photo of it like any other photo. |
| Their voice | Up to 30 seconds recorded with the saying it belongs to. | Record a video. |
| Letters to your child | A reminder the night before each birthday to write one. | Not a separate feature. |

Pick Cuote if
- You keep saying “I have to write that down” and never do.
- You want their exact words, their voice and their drawings in one place, in order.
- You want to write them letters to read when they’re grown.
- You’d rather keep photos where they already are, in your phone’s photo library.
They don’t have to compete. Plenty of parents keep photos in one place and the words in Cuote.
