Cuote or Qeepsake?

Qeepsake asks you a question every day by text. Cuote is for the moment your kid says something and you have three seconds to keep it.

What Qeepsake is

Qeepsake is a journaling app for parents. It sends questions by text message or notification, often matched to your child’s age, and your answers, with photos and videos, become a journal you can print as a book. You can also send an entry without a prompt. Full access is a paid subscription, and it runs on iPhone and Android.

What Cuote is

Cuote is an iPhone app for the things your kids say. Type a saying in a few seconds and it becomes a poster signed with their name and age. Next to it you can keep a recording of their voice, their scanned drawings, and letters you write them for when they’re grown. Your partner and grandparents can join, and each year becomes a book. The first 10 sayings are free; Pro keeps everything else, for the whole family.

Pick Qeepsake if

  • You like being asked: a daily question is what gets you writing.
  • You want to answer by text message.
  • You want a printed book today, not soon.
  • You or your partner use Android.

Pick Cuote if

  • The best lines come out of nowhere, and you want to catch them as they happen.
  • You want their exact words to look like something: a poster with their name and age.
  • You want their voice and their drawings kept next to what they said.
  • You’d rather not get a text every day.

They don’t have to compete. Plenty of parents keep photos in one place and the words in Cuote.
